Overview

If you are no longer managing a unit, you can make it inactive in the system and still preserve all your financial data for later. If you add units to DoorLoop and exceed your subscription limit, you can either add units to your subscription or make unused units inactive.

The Steps

  1. To make a unit inactive, click Rentals from the main menu and then click Units.

  2. Find the unit you want to make inactive and click the 3-dots to the right of that unit. Then click Make Inactive on the popup menu.

  3. On the Make Inactive Confirmation popup, click Make Inactive to confirm or Dismiss if you want to go back and start over.

(If there is an active lease on the Unit, you'll need to End the Lease before being able to make the unit inactive.)

That’s it! This unit is now inactive no longer counts against your subscription unit count.

Tip: After making your units inactive, the next step is to lower your subscription active unit count to possibly reduce your payments. To find out how to do this, read the article: Update Your Subscription Plan Unit Count.

Note: You won't lose any historic information associated with inactive units, such as lease information and past tenants. However, you won't be able to lease this unit again until is made active.
